The Johnny O Show

Here's the final part #3 in a 3 part series on how to configure and enable serial/com ports in snappy for a Beaglebone Black board.

This tutorial will explain how to build custom snappy core images that include everything you want. You learn how to make an oem.snap image with the new device tree that was created enabling the serial/com ports as outlined in the previous video tutorials. See what components are needed in order to build the snap, learn how important these files ( uEnv.txt, u-boot.img,, am335x-boneblack-serial.dtb, MLO and meta) are, and how to compile and modify them for your application.
Also learn the different terminal commands that are necessary to compile and build your .yaml file and others for your oem.snap. And finally what you need to do in order to get your snappy.img ready to write onto an SD card.
All the files that were used in this video, with instruction, can be found at my RoBoT J Tech github page:

***Click here to get $30 off of your first order of Home Chef http://... *** Our last meal from this box of Home Chef was the Sicilian shrimp risotto, with blistered tomatoes and breadcrumbs. This meal rated in as a 7 for me, 7 1/2 for Tiana, & 5 for Robin. Robin's picky, but if Tiana gave it that high of score, you know it's good. ;-) We love Home Chef, so we'll have another order from them
I wanted Britty to upload this drawing on my channel. She drew this as a graduation gift for a friend of her's; some of his favorite anime characters. :-) (Also the interesting song choice was based upon what reminded her of this friend) It took her about 18 hours, which she is sad to admit. She drew this using Adobe Photoshop CC, along with her Wacom Intuos4 tablet. Subscribe to Brittain's
***Click here to get $30 off of your first order of Home Chef http://... *** Second meal from our most recent order of Home Chef is the skillet chicken chasseur, with mushrooms and white wine. Tiana, surprisingly, gave this dish a 7; while I rate it a 6. It was still of excellent quality, and it didn't disappoint, as usual. :-) Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... Facebook:
While over at Grandpa's house, Tiana was the early riser and started making biscuits and gravy, just like Grandpa's. :-) Delicious and so easy to make. Subscribe: http://... This one was a Southern fried pork chop, with mac 'n' cheese and spicy green beans. I gave it a 7 - it all tasted pretty good for what it was. Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... Mike gave me an old hand-me-down bow and I went over to their house to test out my skills. Well, my skills are just about nonexistent, but I did learn a few good tricks, especially that using a trigger is a better idea than not. ;-) Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... After about 8 months, Jacob came over to finish his 40 meter QRP CW board. We ended up with 2 at the end of it, both with the same, confusing results: it transmits the code just as its supposed to, but when on high frequencies it also has a constant tone transmitted, which isn't right. BUT, it does work. Just need to find out what that incessant tone is and hopefully we'll figure it out.
THIS IS BY NO MEANS A TUTORIAL. WE JUST GIVE YOU A MEAGER IDEA OF HOW TO GET THE BELT REPLACEMENTS ACCOMPLISHED. Brittain's car had been complaining a lot the past few months, needing its belts replaced. So, finally, we decided she could change them herself with a little guidance from me. It took much longer than necessary, as I didn't remember as much as I'd like to profess. But we got the job
The last two days of our trip, Robin and the girls went to New Mexico to visit some friends who had recently moved there from Iowa. The drive through Red Mountain Pass put everyone a *little on edge,* but it wasn't as bad as the girls anticipated. ;-) They spent the night and then came back to Delta to pick me up, and we were back on the road to Iowa, home sweet homes. We took the long way home to Delta from Vernal by going through Moab. We wanted to visit the Arches National Park, drive the self tour, and do some hiking. We stopped at the North and South Windows to do some hiking, and boy was it beautiful. A lot of breathtaking beauty and everyone enjoyed it. And the ride back to Delta seemed like an interesting one for the girls... ;-) Subscribe: http://...
The next two days of our trip, November 7th and 8th, my parents and us went Utah to spend a couple days in Vernal to check out the Dinosaur National Monument's quarry and auto tour, and then we went to the Utah Field House of Natural History. It was a fun day for Britty and I especially. :-) Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... Facebook: http://... #thejohnnyoshow #johnorjias
***Click here to get $30 off of your first order of Home Chef http://... *** I ordered a meal from Home Chef to eat at my parent's house this past trip, and the dish we picked was the shrimp de jonghe penne with garlic butter bread crumbs. The girls cooking together in these conditions is usually a recipe for disaster, but despite the difficulties, they pulled though and it turned out awesome.
The family takes a trip down to visit my parents in Delta, Colorado. The first 3 days of our trip consisted of driving, dinner and Les Miserables karaoke, and the girls driving themselves up the Grand Mesa to take some extraordinary pictures. :-) Subscribe: http://... ***Click here to get $30 off of your first order of Home Chef http://... *** This last meal from our food box of Home Chef is the sriracha sweet potatoes and avocado, with sugar snap peas and jasmine rice. This was another good meal or so I hear. ;-) I didn't try it because I hate sweet potatoes, but Robin and Brittain seemed to enjoy it pretty well: rating it a 6 and 7. Looking forward to the
***Click here to get $30 off of your first order of Home Chef http://... *** This next recipe from Home Chef is acapulco steak tacos with pico de gallo and queso fresco. Unfortunately, our ratings didn't get recorded, but this was another great dish from Home Chef. I think I'll always recommend this food box company! Next and final meal from this box is the sriracha sweet potatoes and avocado,
